WHAT IS CBSE ?

CBSE Central Board of Secondary Education

A Board which follows universal pattern is the first choice for parents with transferable jobs.

CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools, and most of the schools approved by central government of India All India Secondary School  Examination for Class 10 and All India Senior School Certificate Examination for Class 12.

 

WHAT IS CAMBRIDGE IGCSE PROGRAMME ?

IGCSE International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an academically rigorous, internationally used, specialized, English language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for International Baccalaureate and CIE A-level.

• Cambridge Primary is typically for learners aged 5 to 11 years

• Cambridge Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 16 years. It offers learners two routes: Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O Level.

• Cambridge Advanced is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It offers learners two routes: Cambridge International AS and A Level, and Cambridge Pre-U.

WHAT IS IB ?

IB International Baccalaureate (IB), formerly the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), is an international educational foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and founded in 1968

It offers 3 educational programs, namely

• PYP or Primary year program for KG to Class-5

• MYP or Middle year program for Class-6 to Class-10

• DP or Diploma program for Class-11 and Class-12

 

An IB education is unique because of its rigorous academic and personal standards. IB programmes

challenge students to excel not only in their studies but also in their personal growth. The IB aims to inspire

a lifelong quest for learning hallmarked by enthusiasm and empathy. To that end, the IB gathers a worldwide

Can IB Diploma students appear for entrance examination for admission to professional courses like medicine and Engineering?

As the IB Diploma Programme is recognised by all universities in India, students can take the

entrance test for professional courses. Most of the entrance tests are conducted in month of

April/May, since the IB exams are also in the month of May, students need to balance the

preparation of the entrance exams along with the May IB Diploma Programme examinations.

 

What is the recognition of Middle Years Programme (MYP) in India?

The MYP has also been given equivalence with grade 10 of an India Board Assessment by the

Association of Indian Universities, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations

(CISCE), The Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE), Maharashtra State Board

of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education and many more. Students having completed the

MYP can apply for admission for higher studies in any school or college in India. Students must

talk to the MYP coordinator at their school for more details and documents required for

admission to a junior college or another board.

 

What are the prospects of IB Diploma students getting admission into Indian universities?

A number of universities in India give provisional admission on the basis of predicted grades as

the admissions in most Indian universities are completed by end of June and the Diploma

Programme results are declared on July 6. The percentage of transcript requests to

Indian universities from IB schools in India has increased substantially from 44% in 2014,

46% in 2015 & 49% in 2016. In May 2016, we processed 2103 transcript requests to colleges

and universities in India. The most popular higher education destinations in

India are University of Mumbai, University of Delhi, NMIMS University, University of

Pune, Christ University, Ashoka University, Manipal University and VIT University. Students

must talk to their IB Diploma programme coordinator or college counsellor at their

school to help them through the process of admission to such universities.

There are 18 to 20 children per class.

When should I submit an application form ?

The duly filled the application form can be submitted in the respective school offices in the month of November .We accept applications at other times if a place is available.

 

Is there a school uniform ?

Yes, we have school uniforms for students from Nursery to Grade 12. There are separate uniforms for daily wear and Physical Education (PE). Uniforms may be bought from the school on specific days of the week. The uniforms are available for a longer period at the school premises.
